Today Lambert confirmed his £4 million move to Liverpool, will Lallana follow close behind?

Adam Lallana is currently in Miami with the England team preparing for the World Cup, however his club future is clearly playing on his mind. Following the departure of team-mate Rickie Lambert, Lallana has apparently made it clear to the powers at Southampton that he is looking to move on after the World Cup in Brazil.

Although the midfielder has yet to hand in an official transfer request, it is believed he has made his desire to play at the highest level clear.

Liverpool have reportedly made a £25 million bid, but it is believed Southampton are holding out for closer to £30 million. If you want to secure a top English talent, you have to pay over the odds.

Southampton have previously confirmed that no departures will occur before the new manager is in place, although that didn't stop Lambert making the move to Anfield.

It is also believed that United are hopeful of completing the £27 million transfer of Luke Shaw following the World Cup. Unfortunately for Southampton they could lose a lot of their talent this Summer, however with their record of producing top talent through the academy, I wouldn't be too worried if I were a Saints fan.
