New, 7 comments

FIFA have announced that there wont be any speeches at the opening ceremony. FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, made the comments at a dinner in Berlin last night.

We get the feeling that this decision will be one of the few decisions that the majority of the football world will happily agree with Mr Blatter on. Less talking (rubbish) and more football action certainly gets our vote.

The last time Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff and Sepp Blatter addressed a crowd in a stadium they received a (deserved) chorus of boos and jeers. So to save themselves from hearing what the football world thinks of them they have decided to remove themselves from the firing line. A cowardly, but wise move.

Don't forget we are now only 92 Days away from the start of the World Cup in Brazil. Read our daily round up here.
