Kyle Walker Will Miss Game Against Denmark

Unfortunately the England right-back won't be fit for the friendly at Wembley this week.

Kyle Walker has unfortunately picked up a hip injury which will keep him out of the game against Denmark according to Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood.

It is a bitter blow for the Spurs defender with this being the last opportunity to impress Roy before the 30 man squad is named for the World Cup. That 30 man squad will then be whittled down to the final 23 with 7 on standby just in case.

With the right-back spot still up for grabs, it will likely mean that Liverpool defender Glen Johnson will start at right back, winning his 50th cap for England. Personally I've never been impressed with Johnson's defending but he will likely still get the nod over Chris Smalling, who is the only other right-back in the team.

Walker missed Tottenham's 1-0 victory against Cardiff yesterday and Sherwood hopes to have the defender back when his side face Chelsea next weekend.

England may be a little short on defensive quality against Denmark with Walker joining Everton defender Phil Jagielka and Manchester United man Phil Jones on the sideline.
