England Drawn Into Friendly Euro 2016 Qualifying Group

New, 5 comments

We were all fearful of Belgium and Serbia would have been tricky, but England come away from Nice, with a rather nice draw!

England today found out who their opponents would be during the 2016 European Championships qualification. Although there will be a couple of tricky ties presented to the Three Lions, we have to be happy at the group we were drawn into.

Group E

England

Switzerland

Slovenia

Estonia

Lithuania

San Marino

Switzerland present the toughest test, and England will have to be careful with the likes of Slovenia and Estonia, the latter held the Netherlands to a 2-2 draw recently.

However England should feel comfortable of finishing in the top two to progress. England will face San Marino again, and their 8-0 victory against the minnows will give them plenty of confidence going forward.

We'll have much more on the group over the coming weeks, but for now we are happy. Leave your thoughts on the group below.
