We have recently mentioned Will Hughes in our players to watch in the Championship feature, it seems as though the 18 year olds performances have caught the eye of Harry Redknapp too:
He's a good player and he's going to be a big player," said Redknapp.
"He's a young player and he's got the ability to go all the way to the top - I've been impressed with him.
"He's a really good player for the future, for a top Premier League club.”
Will Hughes' name has popped up in recent transfer speculation with a host of Premier League clubs linked to the England U21 star. Derby are reported to be unwilling to listen to any offers under £12 million.
Despite being just 18 years old, Hughes has already made 51 appearances for the first team in Derby, as well as making 4 appearances for the England U21 set-up.
Hughes shows great awareness, an array of passing ability and great vision. He's still young and I think moving to a top team now is a mistake. He should continue his development at Derby where he is a first team regular and then make the jump when he is ready.
Will Hughes is an exciting talent and someone to really keep an eye on over the next 2-4 years.
