There will always be some England games that set the pulse racing long before a ball is kicked; Argentina, France, Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Wales all have their own rather unique historical relevancies and connotations. At a time when we are lucky enough that these nations political goals (predominantly!) align, the sporting arena becomes the battlefield and there is no greater battle - "friendly" or not! - than England Vs Germany.
To mark this prestigious occasion the writers of ThreeLionsRoar recently sat down to discuss their score predictions for tonight's game. Let us know yours in the comments section below!

3-2 Germany Win.
Germany are resting a few key players like Ozil and Lahm and will be without Khedira, but their talent pool is never ending. They still have a little more quality than us whilst their movement on and off the ball is superior to Chile's and we couldn't cope with them. I think having Rooney back supporting the main striker with Sturridge up top will work a lot better than the Chile game, but in the end I think they score a late winner. I fully expect a better performance tonight though, lets be perfectly honest....it couldn't get much worse than Friday.

3-2 Germany Win
England will have a more attacking outlook when they face Germany than they did against Chile. Introducing Sturridge into the attack and having Townsend run at someone who isn't Lahm will open some lanes for England. Also dropping Rooney back and not making him the focus point of the attack should enable him to become more involved in the game and should limit him chasing shadows like he did Friday. Overall though Germany have too much quality for an England defence who haven’t played together consistently and a goalkeeper who is low on confidence. Germany edge it late on.

2-2 Draw
If Germany had their full strength squad available (with Khedira, Ozil etc) I'd plump for a Germany win but as it is I think England will hold them to a draw. On Friday we lacked the pace and movement to open up Chile but with both Rooney & Sturridge playing alongside Townsend and Lallana I can see us creating enough chances to score two versus the old enemy. Defensively, I'm worried. I think Smalling is good enough to cover for Cahill at CB but I don't see the midfield providing any protection whatsoever.
Two Germany goals in the first 30 minutes cancelled out by a Rooney brace in the second half.

2-1 England Win.
For the first time in a long time England go into a game with Germany as quite resounding underdogs. Nevertheless, we all know both sides are viewing this game as an opportunity to test the squad prior to the big kick off in the summer so there is some room for the unexpected. There is youth and vigour to the side Hodgson has chosen which is combined with a nice balance of experience through the spine of the team with Jagielka, Gerrard and Rooney so I'm going for the surprise home win.
This is an article about an England match being played on English soil at the home of the game invented by the English and frankly I could not sleep if there was not at least one contributor willing to stick his neck on the line and say that he expect to see Three Lions Roar!
