Raheem Sterling Gets England Call

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling has been called up to replace Injured United midfielder Tom Cleverley for the final World Cup qualifier against Poland at Wembley on Tuesday

Unfortunately Tom Cleverley sustained a calf injury on Friday during the final practise session before the Montenegro game.

Sterling who is just 18, has been promoted from the England U21 side to offer cover in the midfield area.

Raheem Sterling who was born in Jamaica but moved to England when he was just 5. He has represented England at the under 16, 17, 19 and 21 level. He also made his debut for the senior national side in the 4-2 defeat to Sweeden in November.

Although he has not played for the senior side since, he was in the squad for the trips to Moldova and Ukraine last month. He was already on international duty with the under 21's as part of their squad to face San Marino and Lithuania in the 2015 European Qualification group.
